YumYaak respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data, including your phone number, location, and device information, in compliance with the laws of Pakistan and App Store requirements.
1. Information We Collect
To provide food delivery in Kohat, we collect the following data:
- Personal Identity: Name and Mobile Phone Number (required for WhatsApp OTP verification).
- Location Data: Precise GPS location (Latitude/Longitude) to pinpoint your delivery address.
- Device Information: Device ID, Model, and IP Address. We use this to prevent fraud (such as "SIM farming" for promo codes).
- Order History: A record of what you ordered and from which restaurant.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data strictly for app functionality:
- Order Fulfillment: Sharing your location and phone number with the Rider so they can find your house.
- Verification: Sending One-Time Passwords (OTPs) via WhatsApp or SMS to verify your account.
- Safety & Fraud Prevention: Detecting duplicate accounts and ensuring the safety of our riders.
- Customer Support: resolving disputes regarding orders.
3. Location Data Disclosure
Why we need it: YumYaak collects your location data to enable the "Pin Your Address" feature and to calculate delivery fees/times.
When it is used: We only access your location when the app is open (Foreground) to set your delivery address. We do not track your location in the background when the app is closed.
4. Who We Share Data With
We share specific data with third parties to fulfill your order:
- Delivery Partners (Riders): We share your Name, Phone Number, and Address with the rider assigned to your order.
- Restaurants: We share your Name and Order Details with the restaurant.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services for SMS/WhatsApp OTP delivery (e.g., Twilio/Local Gateways) and Map services (Google Maps).
- Legal Authorities: We may disclose data to Pakistani Law Enforcement if required by a valid court order (e.g., in cases of harassment or fraud).
5. Account Deletion & Data Retention
Right to Delete:
You have the right to request the deletion of your account at any time. You can do this directly in the App via Settings > Delete Account, or by emailing us at privacy@yumyaak.com.
Upon deletion, your personal profile is removed. However, we retain anonymized transaction records for legal and tax purposes as required by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA).
6. Security & Female Safety Protocol
We implement strict security measures to protect your data.
Female Customer Safety: We monitor rider interactions. While we must share your number with the rider for delivery coordination, any unauthorized use of this number by a rider (harassment, non-delivery messages) is a breach of contract and will be prosecuted.
7. Age Limitations
YumYaak is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has created an account, please contact us for immediate deletion.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to comply with new Pakistani laws or App Store rules. We will notify you of major changes through the App. Continued use implies acceptance.
